Antony Gibbs

Anthony Gibbs was born in 1951 and has been drawing for as long as he can remember. Gibbs studied at the Bourneville School of Art and has exhibited at the Mall Galleries, London, Nature in Art, Gloucester and The Colmore Galleries, Henley in Arden.

Anthony Gibbs's intricate attention to detail, and rich texture, subtleties and the play of light and shade have made him one of our most popular artists. His original paintings sell to eager collectors throughout the world and limited edition prints of his work are always in demand.

His first one man show was in 1976 and there have been six further one man exhibitions since. His first Limited Edition print 'White Tigers Ever Watchful' was released in 1988 and was an instant sell-out. He went to Kenya for the first time in 1989.

Anthony Gibbs is very concerned for the environment and supports several conservation charities. A member of the Society of Animal Artists in New York, winning the society's "National Tour", "People's Choice Award" in 1992 & 93 and the society's "Award of Excellence" medal in 1997. With the society his work has been exhibited all over America.
