George Clare

A painter of fruits and flowers, he worked in Birmingham, England. George Clare was an imitator of William Henry Hunt's small detailed pictures of fruit, flowers, blossom and birds' nests. He was the patriarch of a prolific family of artists who all painted in comparable styles, his sons being the painters Oliver and Vincent Clare.
