Owen Bowen

Owen Bowen painted landscapes, flowers and still lift using oil and watercolour. He studied during evenings at Leeds School of Art under Gilbert Foster and later at Foster’s studio in Leeds. Bowen worked as a pottery designer, then as a lithographic apprentice before becoming a painter. He painted mainly Yorkshire and formed the Leeds School of Art, later the Owen Bowen School of Art.
